(FLACL or Friends) is a 501c3 non-profit organization established to support the staff and services of the Los Alamos County Library System, including Mesa Public Library and White Rock Branch Library.

Donate Books & Media

The Friends' Bookstore accepts donations of previously-owned and new paperback and hardback books, technical books, reference books, music CDs, DVDs, records, and puzzles, for sale to the public in the Bookstore and on the internet.

Apply for Scholarships

FLACL administers the Friends of Mesa Public Library award and the June Ettinger Memorial Scholarship. Applications are available at the Los Alamos High School Career Resource Center. Read More

​Volunteer

The Friends' Bookstore welcomes volunteers and provides on-the-job training. Volunteer opportunities may also be available on the following board positions: Archives, Bookstore, Endowment, Hospitality, Publicity and Scholarships. If you are interested in volunteering, email us, give us a call or stop by the bookstore and leave your contact information.
